Open the Edit Virtual Hard Disk Wizard
You need to pick one VHD file and click Next
Select Convert option and click next
Here now you need to select a format where you need to convert to as in our case that is VHD to VHDX – Click Next
Now you must choose “Dynamically Expanding” Click Next
