I would prefer you use the latest version of VMware Workstation – VMware Workstation 8
Few things need to check before we are planning the installation most importantly you need to have correct processor which supports VT and you must enable it from BIOS of your system.
Ok Now – Create a machine using VMware work station use Custom option while forming a new virtual machine and during OS selection choose Windows 7 32 bit ( don’t use 64 bit OS) and gather the OS Key with you but do not enter – we will do it later and add it manually.
Once you have finalized all options in the last step uncheck the Power on the virtual machine after creation.
Just after that go to the VM Hardware configuration and disconnect floppy drive, otherwise the installation will fail because the autoinst.flp is missing the product.
just after that also need setup the CPU option as below
